Our activities bring people and horses together to experience improved health and wellbeing, learn new skills and have fun.
We work with children & adults living with disabilities, additional support needs, neurodiversity and mental health challenges, as well as carers and young carers. We accept applications via self-referral, local authority placements, schools, care settings and corporate referrals.
Participants can work towards RDA proficiency awards in riding, horse care and vaulting, or gain Endeavour awards when an individual goal or milestone is reached.
With a range of ridden and non-ridden activities, we aim to create a place where everyone belongs, especially those who feel excluded elsewhere.
Interested in participating? Complete a Participant Application Form or get in touch for more information about activities and availability.
Waiting List
We currently have a large waiting list and a low turnover of regular participants. We recommend applying to several RDA groups to maximise your chances of being offered a regular session - find all your local RDA Groups here. Read our Waiting List Policy

Family Fun sessions are for children and young people with complex or life-limiting disabilities who are not able to attend our core activities. These special sessions allow families to meet, groom and spend time with our horses as well as enjoy our sensory stable, arts and crafts, and refreshments. Bring your family in the school holidays and make memories with your siblings and carers in the company of our horses.
Our Play & Pony Ride format combines outdoor play with the therapeutic benefits of a short pony ride, before young muscles get tired or concentration reaches its limit.
A fun session for young children who are not quite ready for a 30 minute riding lesson, these sessions offer an unpressured introduction to the yard environment and a chance to get started with riding at their own pace.
Quiet Corners are a ground-based (non-ridden) activity that is ideal for people who may be very anxious or would prefer a quieter space or one to one time on the yard. Perhaps you would enjoy a cup of tea and the company of our horses and volunteers, some quiet grooming, some observation time at the field or to decorate one of our ponied with hair clips and hoof oil?
Quiet corners are suitable for all ages, from the very young to people with disabilities of old age - tell us what would make you happy in the company of our horses, and we will design a quiet session just for you!
Equine Facilitated Learning sessions combine coaching, discussion, reflection, and observation with mindful, relaxing, ground-based activities with a horse. Our sessions are run by facilitators who have completed ACCPH-approved professional qualifications. EFL activities invite exploration of personal goals, anxieties, behaviours and challenges.
Unfortunately we cannot offer EFL sessions right now. Stay in touch for updates through our Instagram, Facebook, or blog, or let us know that you're interested.
