We are very sad to share that Laddie’s health declined over the festive period and in line with the advice of our veterinary team, he was peacefully put to sleep. 

RDA’s annual Virtual National Championship is possibly the most inclusive equestrian event of its kind globally, with classes ranging from showing and show jumping to dressage, countryside challenge and equestrian vaulting. It gives participants at all 450 RDA groups in the UK the opportunity to compete from the familiarity of their own yard...

And the winner is…..US!!! 

To top off a wonderful 2024, we are Central FM’s Community Group of the year and we couldn’t be more delighted! 

In October our new horse Hugo, Angel and riders Lizzie and Liam took part in the RDA Scottish Dressage Championships held at Sandyflats RDA in Glasgow. 

In September, our vaulters and Dana took part in Scottish Equestrian Vaulting’s Scottish Championships after a successful competitive season competing in SEV competitions this year. 

No more flooding issues for us. We are very grateful to joiner Scott Davidson for lifting our Tea with a Pony and viewing area out of the mud and enabling us to welcome dementia clients to visit again!

We may not have brought home the coveted award, but we felt like winners after our charity was shortlisted to the final four outstanding charities from over 500 nominations! 

Recognising our community impact as a small charity, the shortlisting noted our work with over 150 individuals in 2023 and showcased the successes of our participants in both competitive & therapeutic endeavours

We love going out and about in the community and today was no exception as the weather stayed dry for all the exhibitors at the Stirling Show. We enjoyed meeting old friends and new on our pre-loved tack stand, and talking with potential new volunteers...

A great night out for #TeamEquiPower at the first ever Active Stirling Awards at The Peak on Friday 7th June. Everyone was delighted to see coach Helen Easty shortlisted for Coach of the Year, and for the Club to be nominated for Club Engagement...

Team Equi-Power had a great day out at our first SEV competition of the year. We are so proud of everyone, from those entering their first competition to our seasoned competitors who all had a confidence giving and happy day out...

Well, what a day! Three of our four riders were looking forward to their first experiences in dressage and Countryside Challenge Competitive classes at Sandyflats, riding Laddie and Angel...

We were all hugely sad today as participants and volunteers came together to say goodbye to coach Cristina Costanza. An advanced RDA coach who has been coaching with us for almost the lifespan of the charity, Cristina has taught riding and horse care to a huge range of participants...

RDA is not just about the riding! There are creative opportunities too. And participant L proved that they were not just a sympathetic and competitive rider, but also a top writer, winning the RDA national writing competition with their poem ‘Wonkey Donkey’...

It didn’t rain but it did pour at our ‘at home’ coached vaulting competition this April. However our vaulters, Dana and SEV judge Jennifer Hume put their best hooves forwards and their raincoats on to help our vaulters gain confidence and technique ahead of the competitive season...
