TRustee Roles

Equi-Power Central Scotland RDA Group is an independent SCIO and Social Enterprise and member Group of RDA UK, based in the Forth Valley. We believe in the power of horses to transform lives and offer a range of equestrian based therapeutic and sporting activities to children and adults with additional support needs. Operating from a temporary base, our award winning group are seeking Trustees and professionals willing to offer their expertise to help us fulfil the vision to build a new RDA community facility of excellence in Stirling, Central Scotland. The centre is expected to provide national training and competition facilities alongside the sporting and therapeutic riding, carriage driving, equestrian vaulting and equine facilitated learning opportunities that RDA is known for UK wide. 

Significant resourcing in fundraising and project management expertise are required at Trustee and Professional Volunteer level to develop the planned centre from architect plans to fruition. We are seeking professional applicants to the following Trustee roles and a quantity surveyor to join our capital project team of professional volunteers.

Trustee Roles

Location: Central Scotland (Stirling) or remote.

Salary: Un-renumerated.

Fundraising Strategist

Applications from talented and driven individuals with significant / senior capital fundraising expertise and a passion for improving lives are invited for the trustee role of Fundraising Strategist. Location: Central Scotland or remote working


Trustee (ProJect Management expertise)

Applicants with senior capital project management expertise and a passion for supporting health and wellbeing opportunities in their local community are invited to apply for a Trustee role. The Trustee (Project Management Expertise) is envisaged as an active role, facilitating meetings with key stakeholders and undertaking in person duties to further the project's established aims. As such an applicant requires to be within travelling distance of Stirling, and the role is most likely to suit a retired applicant or an individual who works part time or in flexible employment. 


Time Commitment: Equi-Power's board meets monthly and combines in person and remote meetings.  In addition some trustee roles can expect to join ad hoc meetings to meet the requirements of the Capital Project (See role descriptions for specific guidance).

Applicants with experience of operating at senior strategic level in financial management are invited to apply for the role of Treasurer. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial affairs of the organisation, producing financial reports, accounts and audits to accepted accounting practice. This role is ideally suited to a qualified chartered accountant with excellent financial analysis skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the charity's board members and staff team.
